A good fit: The clergy staff has begun a “Shabbat for the Body, Mind, Soul, & Stomach” program to offer a new way to make Shabbat morning a part of your week. Feel free to join in any or all parts of the morning. Congregants gather Saturday, Feb. 2 and 23 at 8 a.m. on Bayshore Boulevard at Bay to Bay Boulevard as a clergy member leads brief morning prayers or shares a word of Torah. Then walk, run or bike along Bayshore. At 9:15 a.m. there will be a discussion of the week’s Torah portion. At 10:30 a.m. a casual, “come as you are” Shabbat morning service is planned. Bagels will be provided, and people are welcome to eat during the service. This is for all ages – singles, couples and families. RSVP online RSVP or call the temple at (813) 876-2377.

Hamantaschen baking and sales: The Sisterhood will be baking hamantaschen on Sundays, Feb. 3 and 10 at 9 a.m. and on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. Those who want to participate should contact Andi Parker at or Toni Rosen at to sign up.

The Sisterhood will be selling the homemade hamantaschen on Sunday mornings, Feb. 10 and 24 and March 3. The cost is $10 for a dozen.

Sisterhood Book Club: Join in a discussion about “The Address” by Fiona Davis on Monday, Feb. 18 at noon. For more information, call the temple,

Sisterhood Shabbat: The Sisterhood’s Shabbat dinner and service will be on Friday, Feb. 15, with the dinner at 6 p.m. and service at 7:30 p.m. Cantor Deborrah Cannizzaro will be guest speaker. Sisterhood members will lead the service. The cost of the dinner is $18 per person. RSVP to the temple office.

Museum tour: The “Nu” Frontiers group for those 50ish and beyond will tour the Bill Graham Rock ‘n’ Roll Revolution exhibit at The Florida Holocaust Museum on Sunday, Feb. 3 from 9:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost, including bus trip, admission and a pizza lunch, is $18, or $9 for museum members. Explore the extraordinary life of music promoter Bill Graham (1931-1991). Graham, who helped launch and promote the careers of countless rock ‘n’ roll artists, came to the United States as an 11-yearold Jewish refugee who was fleeing the Nazis. The morning will begin with bagels and a schmeer provided by Meg Moskovitz, the tour guide. The group will have pizza and salad when they return to temple.

“Nu” Frontiers dinner: Experience authentic Vietnamese dining on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. at Pho Quyen Vietnamese Cuisine, 8404 W. Hillsborough Ave, Tampa. This is a Dutch treat event. Participants are urged to arrive on time so all can sit together. RSVP at or call Lisa Kiev-Chen at (813) 876- 2377, ext. 249.

Romeo lunch: The Romeo (Retired Old Men Eating Out) lunch bunch, led by Rabbi emeritus Richard Birnholz, will meet for lunch at Shula’s Steak House, 4860 W. Kennedy Blvd.,. Tampa, on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 11:45 a.m. Lunch will be Dutch-treat, but RSVPs are requested. Contact, or call the temple.

Lunch & Learn: Join Rabbi Nathan Farb for a session titled “Mensch Training: The Basics of Musar” on Thursday, Feb. 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Musar is a collection of simple everyday practices that anyone can do that forms the basis of Jewish ethical discipline and act as a path to becoming the best version of yourself. A sandwich lunch will be provided. There is no charge for this class, but RSVPs are requested by going to or calling the temple.

Café CSZ: Have a bagel and a cup of coffee at Café CSZ on Sunday mornings, Jan. 27 and Feb. 3 from 9-11 a.m.
