Cong. Rodeph Sholom

Rodeph’s got talent: The congregation will hold its annual talent show on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. with competition for groups or solos in these categories: vocal, dancing, gymnastics, musician, comedian, juggler or magician. This is open to kids or adults from the entire community. The event is free and snacks and refreshments will be on sale for $1 per item. Also, the audience can vote for contestants at a rate of $1 per vote. The one who has the most votes wins half of the money.

For more information go to www.rsholom.org.

Movie night with Andres: Join Cantor Andreas Kornworcel for a showing of the movie “The Women’s Balcony” on Monday, Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m. An accident during a bar mitzvah celebration leads to a gendered rift in a devout Orthodox community in Jerusalem. This is a rousing, good-hearted tale about women speaking truth to patriarchal power. There will be snacks during the movie and a brief discussion afterward. To view trailer, go to www.rsholom.org. Everybody is welcome.

Shabbat Reboot: Reset, revive and reboot with your family and friends at this casual Shabbat evening service, perfect for all ages on Friday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. There will be light bites in the lobby starting at 5:30 p.m. This service is free and open to the community. The program runs monthly through May. To sponsor a Shabbat Reboot, go to www.rsholom.org.

Embracing Judaism: Learn more about your heritage or about becoming Jewish at free classes on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. with Rabbi Josh Hearshen. To register go to www.rsholom.org.
