Hanukkah around town

Hanukkah in the City The crowd at the annual Hanukkah in the City event sponsored by Chabad Centers of Tampa Bay at the City Hall Plaza in downtown Tampa. The festivities included the lighting of a giant menorah by city officials and a gelt drop by the Tampa Fire Department. Entertainment featured the Acromaniacts and the Hebrew Academy choir. Car Parade Chabad of Brandon sponsored a parade of eight cars with menorahs on top led by a 6-foot menorah in a pickup truck. They lit up the streets and neighborhoods of Brandon while stopping by various homes for mini Hanukkah parties, bringing along Hanukkah treats and homemade doughnuts.
