Shabbat on Bayshore: Take care of your body and your soul on Shabbat morning, Dec. 15. Meet on Bayshore Boulevard at Bay to Bay Boulevard at 7:30 a.m. One of the clergy will lead brief morning prayers or share a word of Torah. Then walk, run, bike, or do any exercise that you wish. This is for all ages – singles, couples and families.

Senior luncheon: Guest comedian David Glickman will entertain folks at the senior luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 11:15 a.m. In addition to Glickman’s show, the preschool singers will perform. “Nu” Frontiers: This group, for those 50ish and beyond, will meet for a Chinese dinner on Monday, Dec. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at Hao Wah Chinese Restaurant, 1713 S. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa. The group will have its own seating at the restaurant. This is a Dutch treat event with the cost of the buffet dinner set at $10.99.

Introduction to Judaism: Rabbis Joel Simon and Nathan Farb lead a lecture series on the nature of Judaism, God, Torah, worship, life cycle observances, and holidays. There is no charge for the classes, which are open to everyone who wants to learn about basic Judaism and Jewish practice. The Dec. 12 topic is Birth Rituals and Namings, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Confirmation, Weddings and Divorce. The Dec. 19 topic is Death and Afterlife: Funeral Rituals and Mourning. Sisterhood Book Club: This group will meet under the leadership of Barbara Hicks on Monday, Dec. 10 at noon to discuss An American Marriage by Tayari Jones. RSVP to the temple.

Café CSZ: Have a bagel and a cup of coffee at Café CSZ on Sundays from 9-11 a.m. when the religious school is meeting. Join the conversation and meet friends, fellow parents, and other congregants.
