Hanukkah bash: On Sunday, Dec. 9, the congregation will host its Hanukkah Bash from noon to 3 p.m. The event will feature music and dancing to Sounds of Yesterday, the Spheres Bubble Show, featured on America’s Got Talent, and raffle. Food offerings will include latke sandwiches, brisket and doughnut making. The cost is $5 for those 10 and older. Register at

Movie Night with the cantor: Celebrate the end of the second season of the Latin American Jewish Movie Series with Cantor Andres Kornworcel at the synagogue with a showing of The Last Suit on Monday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. The movie was voted best movie of the 2018 Tampa Bay Jewish Film Festival and won 10 Audience Awards in Jewish Film Festivals. The cost is $10 for dinner and movie, featuring an Argentina-Uruguay typical dish: Chorizo (Kosher Sausage). Make reservations online at Everybody is welcome.

Winter Break Camp: It is time to register your child for Camp Rodeph Sholom to be held on Jan. 2, 3, 4 and 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp will include games, sports, cooking, art and more. Register at www.rsholom for any or all days of camp. Before and after care is available.

Adult education: Rabbi Josh Hearshen will teach a class, Embracing Judaism, on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

Adult b’nai mitzvah class: This class, taught by Dr. Nancy Berman and Cantor Kornworcel, is for adults who never had a meaningful Bar or Bat Mitzvah. It is offered on Wednesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. and costs $150 for members and $250 for non-members. Those taking this class must have already taken the Embracing Judaism and Hebrew Reading classes.
