Community Leadership Awards event set for Oct. 19

The Tampa Jewish Community Centers and Federation will present this year’s Community Leadership Awards ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC, 522 N. Howard Ave., Tampa.

This annual event recognizes those who have made a significant impact on the Tampa JCCs and Federation and other local Jewish community agencies. Each award is named after a beloved community member that embodies the principles of dedicated leadership, tikkun olam and commitment to enriching the continuity of Jewish life locally and worldwide.

JCCs and Federation award recipients:

• Betty Shalett – Leonore Kessler Women’s Division Leadership Excellence Award
