Temple Emanuel Lakeland

Awards and elections: Temple Emanuel in Lakeland recently elected new officers and presented awards to various congregants. The Yad Squad Award was presented to Eric Lipson, Dan Leviten, and Jordan Eckert for the many hours they spend helping with Temple Emanuel services. The Women’s Service Award want to Irma Cole, who coordinates online giving affiliations for the temple and its gift shop and serves as chair of the temple’s marketing committee. The Men’s Service Award went to Gary Schwartz, the temple’s first vice president. He helps keep the temple looking good and staying financially viable.

Woman of the Year went to Amy Blocher, a board member who serves on the ritual and fundraising committees.

Man of the Year went to Allen Shane, incoming president and past board member who leads the rabbi search committee. Also elected as officers are Tammy Serebrin, second vice president; Mark Scolnick, third vice president; Gary Rabin, treasurer, and Jane Renz, recording secretary.
