Adult B’not Mitzvah: The congregation is invited to attend this service on Friday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. when congregants Courtney Donn and Marilyn Geller will lead the service and read from the Torah. These students have spent a year learning Hebrew to prepare to become adult B’not Mitzvah.

Confirmation: On Sunday, May 21 at 10 a.m., 18 students will be confirmed at a special service. A reception will follow. The confirmands are: Corey Bader, Elias Bilkas, Rebekkah Chen, Adam Fischel, Victoria Grills, Alexa Gross, Adina Holtzberg, Emily Kaplan, Rachel King, Harrison Klein, Evan Levine, Benjamin Maskin, Dean Rosen, Jack Sheer, Alivia Teplin, Max Weinstock, Ryley Wilson and Zoe Zepeda.

Mah jongg: The Sisterhood will hold a mah jongg event on Monday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. Beginners and experts are all welcome. Bring a foursome or get matched up with others. Teachers will be available. Dinner will be served and the cost is $10.

Senior luncheon: Take in a movie, Parental Guidance, starring Billy Crystal and Bette Midler on Thursday, May 18 at 11 a.m. plus have lunch at the next Senior luncheon. Rabbi Richard Birnholz will lead a brief discussion after the movie and preschool singers will perform. The event is free but RSVPs are requested to the temple office.

Tot Shabbat: An interactive Shabbat experience for families with young children will be held on Friday, May 19 at 5:30 p.m. Learn Shabbat rituals and prayers. Participants will light candles, sing the kiddush and bless the challah. This program targets children up to age 5 and their siblings of all ages and will be followed by a complimentary Shabbat dinner. RSVP by May 18 at or email
