Jewish Heritage Day at the Trop



As part of the Jewish Heritage Day celebration at the Tampa Bay Rays game in St. Petersburg on Sunday, April 19, members of the Bay Area Cantorial Association were invited to sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the seventh inning stretch. The Jewish War Veterans Post 373 honor guard from Tampa presented the colors for the National Anthem on April 19 at Tropicana Field before the Tampa Bay Rays took on the New York Yankees. The honor guard marched in missing soldier formation in honor of Post Commander Sidney Bruskin, who was an honor guard member and died three days before the event. The honor guard was at the game to help fans celebrate Jewish Heritage Day.
