Israeli Arab killed fighting alongside Syrian rebels

JERUSALEM – An Israeli Arab reportedly was killed in battle in Syria’s civil war. The man, identified by Haaretz as Mueid Zachi Agabaria, 28, of the Arab village of Mushirfa in northern Israel reportedly entered Syria via Turkey in August to fight with rebel forces opposed to the government of Syrian President Bashar Assad.  More...

Cameron promises ‘permanent and fitting’ national Holocaust memorial

LONDON – British Prime Minister David Cameron said he will establish a national commission to ensure that Britain has a “permanent and fitting” Holocaust memorial. On Monday, Sept. 16, speaking at a dinner marking the Holocaust Educational Trust’s 25th anniversary, Cameron said he would personally chair the first session of the commission.  More...
