Donations needed for community food bank

Tampa Jewish Family Services (TJFS) is asking for donations to its community food bank.  Items needed include food, school supplies, and clothing for children. TJFS does not turn anyone in need away. Non-perishable items are always needed, but from August through December the request for food increases significantly.  More...

Holocaust Survivor Celebrates 100 Years of life!

One hundred years of life is a milestone for any of us, but it is one that is particularly sweet for a Holocaust survivor.  Riva Litvin, of St. Petersburg, became a centenarian on May 9th. Mrs. Litvin celebrated her birthday with a party surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Litvin along with her mother and daughter, fled from Kiev, Ukraine while Nazi bombs dropped all around them.  More...
