Obituaries

NORMA HIRSCH, 80,

of Tampa, died June 6. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1971. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Lawrence; two sisters, Elaine McClintock and Carol Satler. The funeral suggests memorials may be made to Melech Hospice House. ALFRED HOWARD, 95,

of Tampa, died May 31. He was born in Cleveland, OH. During World War II he was a project engineer, working on a guidance system for missiles. He was chief engineer for adapting the autopilot for the P51 Mustang. His name is on a plaque in the Museum of Flight in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. regarding his work.  More...

MATTHEW EVAN KOPPELMAN, 33,

of Lutz, died June 8. He was born in Cleveland, OH, and moved to Lutz recently from Pompano Beach. He was a graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland and was a computer system engineer with PEER 1.  More...

LUCILLE BAKER OSTER, 93,

of Tampa, died May 25. She was born in Jacksonville and grew up in Orlando and eventually settled in Tampa. She was a member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom and its Sisterhood and Menorah Manor.  More...
