RICHARD “DICK” WITTCOFF, 79, of Tampa, died Jan. 31. A native of New York, he moved to Tampa in 1955 from there. He was a graduate of the Wharton Business School with a B.S. degree and later earned his MBA from New York University. He was a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek, was a booster and supporter of USF basketball and a lifetime member of the John and Grace Allen Society at the University of South Florida Presidents Council. Survivors include his daughter, Margie Miller, of Bradenton; son-in-law, Dr. Tom Miller, of Tampa; daughter-in-law, Jessica Wittcoff, of Tampa; sister, Linda Hanrahan, of New York; brother-in-law, Walter Kessler, of Tampa; four grandchildren; and his companions, Carol Osiason, of Tampa. The family suggests memorials may be made to Congregation Schaarai Zedek or the USF Athletic Foundation. (Segal Funeral Home, Beth David Chapel)
