Tikvah Talk to focus on autism

An “Overview of Autism” will be presented by Karen Berkman, Ph.D., executive director of the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), during Tampa Jewish Family Services’ Tikvah Talk, a support service for families and children with special needs.

The program will be on Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 7-9 p.m. at the Tampa Jewish Community Center.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the characteristics of individuals with autism and current research and services offered by CARD. A voluntary $5 donation is appreciated. The community center is located at 13009 Community Campus Drive off Gunn Highway near Citrus Park.
