Hadassah

Tea Party: The Tampa Ameet Hadassah Chapter will hold a Hi-Chai tea party on Sunday, Aug. 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Congregation Rodeph Sholom in Tampa. This event should be a special time for grandparents, parents and children. For more information, contact Elaine Viders at eviders@ tampabay.rr.com.

B’nai B’rith

New member luncheon: The Greater Tampa Bay Unit of B’nai B’rith will hold a new member luncheon on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at noon at the Feather Sound Panera Bread, 2285 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater. Lunch is free to any prospective member, along with any current member who brings an interested guest. There will be a discussion of local and international activities of B’nai B’rith. Speakers will include Howard Feingold, past president of the West Coast Council of B’nai B’rith, Stuart Berger, current president of the Greater Tampa Bay Unit of B’nai B’rith, and Howard Rothman, chair of the B’nai B’rith International Center for Community Action. Support groups

Alzheimer’s caregivers: Menorah Manor’s Bresler Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Program offers a complimentary support group open to anyone in the community. This group meets in the Samson Nursing Center at Menorah Manor, 255 59th St. N., St. Petersburg, on the first Thursday of the month from 3:30-5 p.m. For more information, call Gwen Kaldenberg, MSW, director of the Bresler Program, at 302-3750.
