Obituaries

EFFIE BAYER,

83, of Tampa, died Feb. 19. She moved to Tampa in 1996 from New Jersey and has resided at Weinberg Village for the past two years. She was also a member of Congregation Kol Ami. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Jeff Krischer; and two granddaughters. The family suggests memorials to Weinberg Village or Congregation Kol Ami.  More...

LILLIAN BERNSTEIN GUSHIN,

96, of Palm Harbor, died Feb. 19. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up and lived most of her life in Roselle, NJ. She moved to Palm Harbor in 1999. She was a graduate of Kean University in Union, NJ, where she earned both her BA and MA degrees in education.  More...

80, of Tampa, died Feb. 7. Born in New York, he moved to Tampa 10 years ago from New Jersey. He was a psychologist and a published author.  More...

HILDA KAUFMAN,

95, of Tampa, died Feb. 10. She was born in New York and moved to Tampa nine years ago from Tamarac. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Stuart and Debra Kaufman, Tampa and Len and Lisa Kaufman, Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Grace Blitzstein, Greenwich, CT; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  More...
