1st Boomers’ Rosh Chodesh meeting April 6

A Rosh Chodesh for Boomers group for women seeking a meaningful experience, interlaced with schmoozing, is being formed by the Tampa JCC and Federation, with the initial meeting on Wednesday, April 6 at the South Tampa home of Federation staff member Iris Ruth Pastor.

The group is for women ages 46-65 who find they are getting out less and often are looking for someone to engage with and talk to. For many Baby Boomers, the soccer games for their kids are over, as well as coffee klatches, play dates with other moms and kids, or school open houses where moms mix and mingle. The new Rosh Chodesh hopes to fill that void.

Rosh Chodesh marks the beginning of the new Jewish month and new moon cycle. Celebrated by women taking a break from their routine, Rosh Chodesh will be a blend of substance and socializing, with time for discussions and programs on a variety of topics and interests.

Those who would like to attend the first meeting should contact Pam Cotner, senior program director at the Tampa JCC, at 769-4748 or
