Franci Rudolph; Jewish, civic philanthropist

Franci Golman Rudolph, 60, of Tampa, died Sept. 18. Born in Chicago, IL she attended Niles West High School and graduated from Syracuse University Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Special Education, Elementary Education and Psychology. She started her career as a special education teacher working with mentally disabled and neurologically challenged children.  More...

BERNICE LILLIAN EVENSON, 98, of Tampa, previously of Boca Raton, died Sept. 10. Born in New York City, she and her late husband, Fred, ran Evenson’s, a small retail family clothing store in Verona, NJ. After her husband’s death in 1964, she remained as head of Evenson’s until 1979 when she retired and moved to Boca Raton.  More...

LT. COL. CHARLES RAYMOND McLAREN, 85, U.S. Army (Ret.),

LT. COL. CHARLES RAYMOND McLAREN, 85, U.S. Army (Ret.), of Tampa, died Sept. 1. He was born in West Palm Beach and moved to Tampa in 1955. He joined the Navy in 1943, serving as a U.S. Navy Medical Corpsman attached to the U.S. Marines in the south and southwest Pacific.  More...

NANCY KIRSCHNER, 56,

NANCY KIRSCHNER, 56, of Wesley Chapel, died Sept. 22. She was a schoolteacher. Survivors include her mother, Myrna Kirschner, Wesley Chapel; sister, Shelley Yoelson, Wesley Chapel; brother, Arden Kirschner, Albuquerque, NM. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or HPH Hospice in Hudson.  More...
